The PS60 scale is an ideal choice for PC-Based carrier shipping systems.  It is compatible with shipping systems from UPS, FedEx, DHL, Airborne, and many others.  The new version of the PS60 has both RS232 and USB connection!.

Mettler Toledo PS60U-5131-000 [150lb x 0.05lb] now offers both RS-232 or USB interface.  Take you pick and the scale comes standard with both interfaces so you don't have to say "give me the USB version" or "I want the RS-232" since you get both.  Also included is a 6 foot USB cable and 6 foot RS-232 interface cable (with 9 pin female connector), base mount detachable display with 13 inch cable, 11.8 x 13.8 inch ABS impact resistant plastic platter.  Limited time we'll upgrade the ABS platter to a Stainless Steel Platter.

Software settings compatible with Online Office and Worldship Software from UPS.  Low profile scales can be used in a variety of non-washdown applications up to 150 lbs.  You can use this bench scale for all your UPS shipping and it's NTEP approved / Legal-For-Trade to meet all your weights & measurement requirements, especially if you have a UPS shipping counter service shipping parcel for the public.  Patented Geo-Cal feature that ensures accurate weighing right out of the box without end-user calibration.  This accurate electronic scale eliminates the wasted time and money associated with recording inaccurate weights.  Weigh faster with much greater accuracy than any cheap spring scale.  An electronic scale will pay for itself in the long run by reducing the time to record accurate weights and by eliminating any discrepancies with shipping charges.

The PS scales are made of die cast aluminum and designed to support a 300% static overload.  The ABS composite platter features a unique overload safety system to absorb severe shock loads.  The detachable base-mount display with 13 inch cable is enclosed in high-impact plastic, and the Zero and Unit Switching keys are protected with a spill-proof polyester overlay -- they're easy to see, easy to press, and take a pounding.  Also available is an optional remote display tower with an 14 foot cable (0270-2100-000) or single wall-mount display (includes aluminum bracket and 14 foot cable - 0270-3100-000) are available for added convenience.

The PS60U-5131-000 comes standard with ABS Platform.high impact platter featuring reinforced molded structural ribs for maximum strength.  For added flexibility the PS60 Series can be purchased with a flat stainless steel platter (A15083400A), ball top platter (0906-0161-000) or roller top platter (0906-0164-000).

To set up the electronic scale with the UPS software, go to the Tools menu, select Preferences , and select the Hardware tab.  Then, select the "Toledo PS60" for type of scale and serial port to which you want to connect the scale.  When you finish setting up the scale, select the Test Scale button to make sure that the scale is functioning properly.
